Description

The Ohlone Humane Society Companion Animal Rescue program is comprised of experienced volunteers who collectively have rescued thousands of abandoned animals and placed or assisted in placing them in loving forever homes.

These volunteers are united and inspired by compassion for all animals with a focus on finding warm, loving homes for abandoned dogs and cats destined to be euthanized in the municipal Tri-City Animal Shelter. We also rescue special needs animals and help with guardian assistance placement.

Rescued animals are placed in safe foster homes and given enough time for temperament evaluation by our caring volunteers. Before re-homing, each rescued animal is provided veterinary attention including:

• Immunizations
• Micro-chipping
• Spaying/Neutering
• Treatment for any medical needs
