By becoming a member of the Ohlone Humane Society, you pledge your ongoing support to our mission and increase our voice in the community.

We respect our members’ privacy and do not sell or exchange the names of any of our members or donors.

Our members enable OHS to have a direct influence on legislation and the enforcement of laws pertaining to animal welfare. Members are especially crucial to Ohlone Humane Society because we do not receive any tax dollars or funding from our city or state. OHS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our programs are supported by donations, grants, and bequests. All contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law. When you become a member, you will help our efforts to promote the humane treatment of all animals.

Membership donations are renewable yearly (Exception – Life Membership, one time only).

Membership Benefits:

• You will receive copies of the humane education publication, “Tail Waggin” News.
• The satisfaction of knowing you are doing something to give animals a better quality of life.
• The knowledge that your voice counts in this organization. Members are invited to the annual meeting to elect new board members, discuss policies and concerns to help in achieving OHS’s mission.
• Special invitations to participate in OHS activities.
• Knowing that Hug-A-Pet Animal Assisted Therapy animals are bringing joy and therapy to those in need.
• An awareness of the OHS Wildlife Center’s goal to rehabilitate for release back into the wild, injured and/or orphaned wildlife.
• Appreciate that OHS assists in unwanted animals being adopted into new loving homes, locally and regionally.
• Realizing young people are being taught to respect all animals.
